Our November real time lesson is now up. This month I show you the lullaby or tune I sing to my daughter Jiya every night to send her to sleep. My wife and I have sung this to her basically since she was born. I want to explore with you the melodic principles underneath it and why it works as a cohesive melody and perhaps why lullabies have this child like quality to them.

There’s lots here to apply to all things melody so hopefully will add a few bits and pieces to your piano tool kit. Enjoy!
