Add me to the Einaudi fans! It took me a while to get it but it’s lovely to play and I can’t wait for more of it.
Really looking forward to getting into the lesson. I’d love to see like a little ‘Compose like Einaudi’ inspired mini course/study within the Academy one day.
It would be a great course. Next month (august, july is already done) we will look at something similar.
Just saw this yesterday! I love Ludovico! This will be fun to learn! Seems simple but will require sometime to play both hands together with fluidity. Thanks for the lesson!
Excellent!
Hi Josef, this is really nice to play ! I was pleasantly surprised to find the left hand relatively easy (must be due to all that hard work on the Pachelbel piece). Looking forward to part 2, and some creative ideas ; I can see the potential, but haven’t tried them out yet.
There seems to be a mistake in the notation (or is it just an option?) ; in the play along after the Dminor chord you play an F, but in the notation it’s a C. I realise that both work quite well ; I prefer the F.
Thanks for this !
yes the more left hand patterns you work on the more you realise so many of them (particularly in this genre) share commonalities.
Thanks for picking up on the mistake. Indeed C works, but it supposed to be an F as written. So will fix that asap.
I second on the Pachelbel piece – this is perfect for taking a break whilst working on that!
Hi Joseph. This is a beautiful piece. It is difficult at first to get the right and left hand to work together, but I will persevere. I would appreciate more of this man’s work in your future lessons.
indeed. Its a beautiful piece.
Hey Josef, thank you, I just love Einaudi! Have attempted a few of his compositions before but not this one. Found the left and right hand easily but putting both together a bit tricky. I’ll definitely persevere with this one. More of this masterful pianist please 🙏
Yep. Hopefully it may put you in a good position to attempt the piece? I thought this section in particular offered so much for us.
I’ll definitely attempt the piece.
Beautiful!!
Glad you liked it
Something a little different this month. I’ve loved Einaudi for a long time. His taranta project album is one of my favorite albums. So I couldn’t resist thinking of you when his piece “I Due Fiumi” came on my playlist.
There is a small section here which i thought has many layers and benefits to it so this month I will be diving into a section from this piece and breaking it down a little as to why I believe it works so well.
Enjoy.
