It is always a surprise how these “simple things” can bring so much value. Being restricted to just 3 notes, or, in this case to just 2 chords stirs creativity and lays a solid foundation for experiments. Which leads to a deeper understanding in the end. Trying to bring this sparse arsenal of notes to live by adding other elements like rhythm, or inversions, or bringing it alive with the expession of emotions is really bringing forth useful skills.

Creatives, back to basics this month. What magic can we create and play with just 2 chords? Lets take a look.

My hope is we can learn this principle together then you can have heaps of creative fun swapping and changing chords around.

As always, let me know in the comments if you have any questions or let me know how you got on.

Hi Joseph,
I loved March’s fun stuff, it has given me some ideas for when my brother in law wants me to accompany him on guitar, I especially enjoyed the arpeggiated chords! I’ve been working on Inversions so this really adds extra ways to explore those too.
Many thanks Kylie.
